Our Staff

The Community Health Institute's staff is what defines the CHI, comprising a creative, dedicated and competent team. Characterized best by their passionate commitment to the needs of clients and the people of Northern New England, each of our employees brings years of expertise in their field.

The employees of the CHI are all residents of Northern New England, with a deep understanding of the area in which they live and work. Our New Hampshire staff may also draw upon a larger team of consultants from our parent organization, JSI. Collectively, this team comprises experts in nearly all areas of the health care system, available to respond to the particular needs of our clients.

The CHI and its parent, JSI, are organized in a flexible and dynamic way that allows the best team and leadership configuration for your project. 30 years of success have proven that this organizational structure is the best for producing exceptional results.

Jonathan Stewart, MA, MHA (Holderness, NH)

Jonathan Stewart is the Director of the CHI. He has experience in providing technical assistance, training, policy analysis and program evaluation services to state and community-based organizations in New Hampshire and the New England region since 1986. His expertise focuses on development of sustainable public health and rural health delivery systems. His previous work includes the start-up and management of a rural Community Health Center network in Northern New Hampshire, Ammonoosuc Community Health Services, as well as serving as the founding Director of the North Country Health Consortium. He has served as co-chair of the Healthy New Hampshire 2010 initiative and Treasurer of the New Hampshire Public Health Association. He earned an MHA in Health Management and an MA in Biochemistry from Duke University.

Suz Friedrich, MBA (Durham, NH)

Suz Friedrich is a managing director with JSI and senior consultant with the CHI. She has had experience providing consultation to health care organizations in the areas of health services delivery, public health, practice management, managed care, information for decision making, and program evaluation since 1985. Clients include government agencies, and public and private health care providers. She earned her BA from Amherst College and her MBA with honors from Boston University's School of Management in Health Care Administration. She has served as the president of the New Hampshire Public Health Association and is a graduate of the Leadership NH Program.

Martha Bradley, MS (Epsom, NH)

Ms. Bradley is a senior consultant with the CHI. She has experience in the public health and health promotion field since 1991. Her expertise includes design of statewide strategies for education, outreach and promotion, along with coordination of community health education programs. She earned her BA from the University of New Hampshire and her MS from Springfield College in Human Service Administration.

Katie Coburn, BA (Concord, NH)

Ms. Coburn is a project assistant for CHI. She coordinates training conferences, and provides technical support to grantees and sites with reporting questions and software issues for the Bureau of Primary Health Care and National Health Service Corps Uniform Data System projects. She also provides administrative support to Manchester Sustainable Access Project. Katie received her BA in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire, and is currently completing her Master of Public Administration degree from the same.


Priscilla Davis, BS (Epping, NH)

Ms. Davis is the office manager and a project coordinator with the CHI since 1999. Her responsibilities involve extensive data management of nationally reported data, as well as the development of unique software to collect, manage, and screen data electronically. Her expertise also includes coordinating and implementing small and large-scale conferences, meeting planning and logistical support. She earned her BS from Granite State College with a major in Business Management.

Patricia DiPadova, MBA (Newport, NH)

Ms. DiPadova is a senior consultant with the CHI. She has experience in practice and contract management, HIPAA compliance, health center operations, network development and managed care contracting since 1984. She has expertise in applying commercial managed care expertise and business management concepts to publicly funded and community-based providers and networks. She earned a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the University of New Hampshire.

Shasta Jorgensen, BA (Concord, NH)

Ms. Jorgensen is a project assistant with the CHI. She has extensive administration experience since 1999. Her organizational skills and ability to multi-task have assisted in the successful coordination of two annual statewide tobacco conferences, monthly coalition trainings, and data research for a variety of public health projects. She earned her BA from University of Redlands in Redlands, California with a major in International Relations.

Rachel Kohn, M.S.W, M.P.H. (Amesbury, MA)

Ms. Kohn is a senior consultant with the CHI. She has experience and technical expertise in survey research, design and implementation, program evaluation, grant writing, project design, planning, implementation and management, and technical assistance for program-level and client-level service delivery since 1994. Ms. Kohn earned her BA from the University of Massachusetts, her MPH from Boston University School of of Public Health, and her MSW from Boston University School of Social Work.

Diane Lewis, BS (Hillsborough, NH)

Ms. Lewis is a project coordinator and mapping analyst with the CHI since 2000. Her areas of expertise include project coordination and maintenance, information system and software testing, development and analysis of relational mapping databases, extensive map and layout creation, statistical frequency and crosstab analysis, report generation, and technical assistance. She earned her BS from Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire with a major in Occupational Safety and a minor in Business Management.

Debbie Love, BS (Chichester, NH)

Ms. Love is a project assistant with the CHI. She has extensive administration experience since 1990. Her expertise includes administrative management, bookkeeping, maintaining membership databases, interfacing with board of directors, and assisting on diverse and client-centered projects. Ms. Love earned her B.S. from Plymouth State College, Plymouth, New Hampshire with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies with emphasis in Business, Psychology & Health. She also received a writing degree from the Institute of Children's Literature and certification in Medical Transcription.

Karyn Madore, M.Ed. (Pembroke, NH)

Ms. Madore is a senior consultant with the CHI. She has had experience in the areas of women, adolescents and children's health & safety issues since 1998. She has expertise in coordinating state-wide media campaigns and community-grant programs, as well as all aspects of program management including researching efficacy, resource coordination, and implementation. She earned both her BS in Marketing and her M.Ed. from Plymouth State College.

Lisa Muré, M.Ed. (Holderness, NH)

Ms. Muré is a senior consultant with the CHI. She is a former non-profit director and a former state administrator for alcohol, tobacco and other drug prevention service. She has extensive experience in coalition development, successful environmental strategies to prevent and reduce youth substance use, proposal development, strategic planning and public and private partnerships. She has a master's degree in secondary education and a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Eric S. Turer, MBA (Brentwood, NH)

Mr. Turer is a senior consultant with the CHI. He has experience as a project manager, a skilled analyst, and an expert in issues pertaining to underserved populations, including rural health care delivery systems, community health centers, and integrated delivery systems since 1994. He has worked extensively with providers in underserved areas throughout the country and conducted extensive data analysis in support of community based planning, health care needs assessment, program evaluation, and policy development. He earned his BS in Biology and MBA in Health Systems Administration from Union College.
